Diagnostic Services

Something here

In today’s world, vehicles are run by several computers & control modules. These control modules monitor the fuel supply, emissions, temperature, braking, charging system, starting, timing of the engine and transmission shifting.

When one of these systems malfunctions, drivers are alerted by a warning light on your dash. Many different symptoms can occur from rough idling to loss of power, not starting …etc. It takes knowledge, expertise and state of the art equipment for the automotive technician to run the proper tests and diagnose the problem in order to pinpoint the problem and repair.

This is when experience, honesty and integrity really counts, and why we pride ourselves with professionalism and a level of customer satisfaction that is second to none!

We would only replace parts that are failing. It is much less expensive to pay for a proper diagnosis then to replace parts that might solve the problem or that are commonly replaced!

It is very important to have your vehicles oil changed every 3 months or 5,000 km. Engine oil is the life blood of your engine. Its job is to clean, cool and lubricate the engine. If the oil is dirty, performance of the vehicle is compromised.

Dirty engine oil allows particles to become abrasive and cause accelerated wear to the valve train, crankshaft and bearings. All oil fed components do not perform at their optimum with dirty oil. Dirty oil causes clogging and sludge issues which will further wear the components.

It is a lot less expensive to have your vehicle serviced every 5,000 km then to replace an engine prematurely.

Vehicle Inspection

We can take a look under the hood

Vehicle inspection services play a crucial role in ensuring the safety, reliability, and overall health of your vehicle. These services involve a comprehensive examination of various components, including the engine, brakes, tires, lights, and more. Conducting thorough inspections to identify potential issues, prevent breakdowns, and promote optimal performance.

Tires are a crucial safety item on your vehicle. We would highly recommend having your tires inspected by a professional every oil change. To ensure safety, your tires, tire pressures, tire balancing, tire treads should all be inspected for cracks and gouges.

The #1 reason for vehicle breakdowns is due to flat tires and blowouts. Proper balancing and rotating tires is crucial to avoid vibrations in the steering which compromises the handling and safety. Not having your tires balanced and rotated leads to uneven wear on your tires which will compromise the longevity to the life of the tires.

The brake system is by far one of the most important safety systems in your vehicle.
Being able to stop on a dime to avoid incident or accident is crucial!
At Midway we only use the best quality parts for brake maintenance and replacement.
Brakes need to be regularly inspected at a trusted repair facility. Vehicles will be driven to test
the brake system functions. We will then perform a visual inspection, measuring pad and shoe
thickness, checking for even wear. Check rotors for run out and hot spots, check hardware for
proper adjustments. Wheel cylinders, brake lines and brake master cylinders are inspected for
leaking and wear, and then all fluid levels are inspected.
All your braking system is checked to make sure that they are in proper working order to ensure brake system effectiveness while driving.

We highly recommend having your brake system inspected with each oil change or at a
minimum every 6 months or approximately 6,000 km.

Shocks and struts play the biggest role to the stability and control of your vehicle. These parts are crucial to stopping, turning and swerving at the exact moment that you need to. Shocks and struts that are wearing down causes swaying, bounces and overreacts to corners as you stop or accelerate over bumps and uneven surfaces. Worn shocks and struts make it more difficult for the driver to maintain control of the vehicle, causing the driver to constantly make steering corrections while driving to compensate.

One worn shock can increase your vehicles stopping distance.
